What Toyota Brake Service Does
Our factory-trained and certified technicians give your vehicle a full brake system inspection. We make sure the master cylinder is working properly. If not, we replace it with a new one. We also check the depth of friction material on the brake pads and ensure the calipers and rotors are in good shape. If the pads are near their service limit, we do a brake pad replacement on both wheels on either side of the front and rear axles. That ensures you have about the same life left in the brake pads on all your wheels.
Brakes Inspection
At the heart of brake service is the inspection that isolates the root problem. If the rotors are damaged, we fix them with rotor resurfacing or replacement when there is not enough material left to smooth out the surface and stay in spec. After we ensure the calipers, pads, and rotors are all in like-new condition, we can perform brake fluid exchange for contaminated fluid. We can also provide front and rear brake pad replacement as needed.
Why You Need to Service Your Brakes
Brakes are very important for vehicle safety. They also need frequent preventive maintenance to ensure safe stopping. The brake pads usually last between 20,000 and 30,000 miles before they wear too thin and need replacement. If you ignore them, they will damage your rotors and possibly cause you to lose all braking power. You also need to bleed the brake lines and replace the fluid regularly to ensure the calipers fully engage and release the brake pads. If not, the pads can drag on the rotors, wear out faster, and damage the rotors. Our service ensures your brakes work perfectly.
